About Bene Tan
With nearly 20 years of experience, his detailed eye for colours and the exceptional ability to make images come to life, Bene Tan is a self-taught photographer that ingeniously invented his very own photography and lighting techniques to capture every essence in a single shot.
Widely known for his food and still life photography, Bene has gained world recognition on the international platform with his multiple top wins from the Hasselblad Masters, International Photography Awards, One Eyeland Photography Awards, and the Master Photography Awards.
His experience as a graphic and web designer allows Bene to be able to envision the entire advertising process which makes it effortless for his client to work with. He is hugely popular based on his skills to solve complex visual challenges and his clients include famous homegrown brands such as Old Chang Kee, Fortune Brand, and Tong Heng to international well-known brands such as Unilever, Pizza Hut, Genki Sushi, 7-Eleven and many more.
Bene & his team have also worked very closely with many renowned advertising and design agencies such as BBH Asia, Brand Alliance, Design Bridge, Denstu, DW HQ, & Larry, Grey Singapore, and many more.
Based in Singapore, Bene believes in sharing his knowledge and passion with budding photographers through the hosting of food photography lectures and workshops. He was also invited by Singapore’s most popular TV program (Mediacorp Channel 8 - Hello Singapore 狮城有约 - 行行三不知) to share his personal food photography journey and some industry insights with the local audience.
