Watercress with Luohan Guo Soup


  • Watercress: 400g (2 packet)

  • Sweet Corn: 1 pc

  • Mock Mutton: 150g

  • Carrot: 150g

  • Red Dates: 6 pcs

  • Dried Mandarin Orange Peel: 1 pc

  • Sliced Ginger: 6 pcs

  • Water: 2 litres

  • Luohan Guo: Optional (break open and remove quarter of the seed)

  • Honey Dates: 2 pcs (omit if luohan guo is added)


  • Mushroom Powder: 2 tea spoon

  • Vegetarian Stock: 1 table spoon

  • Cooking Wine: 2 tea spoon

  • Rice Wine: 2 tea spoon

  • Pepper: Dash

Cooking Method

  1. Wash watercress, sweet corn, carrot and cut into pieces.

  2. Boil 2 litres of water, add all ingredients into boiling water and boil on low heat for 2 hours.

  3. Turn heat down, add seasonings and cook for 10 minutes. Serve with rice.
