One Light, One Technique Food Photography Workshop

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This one to one workshop is tailored for photographers who wish to learn how to take better quality and mouth-watering food images using one lighting technique with just one studio light.

It is the most simple lighting technique to master and begin with. Bene will also share with you on how to create dramatic lighting and soft lighting using just one studio light.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Photographers who have some basic photography knowledge and wish to learn more about food photography using studio lighting.

REQUIREMENT / PREREQUISITE

  • DSLR / Mirrorless camera that has Manual control mode or Aperture priority mode.

  • Have good knowledge about Basic Photography. 

  • Good working knowledge of your camera.

  • Please bring along a macro Lens (50-100mm) if you have one.

 

OUTLINE

  • Introduction.

  • Understand the necessity & studio equipment used.

  • Learn how to control Exposure for studio strobe (Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO).

  • Understand white balance and how to custom white balance.

  • Understand Light metering.

  • Understand Lighting control for One Light set-up.

  • Learn how to light food by using one lighting technique.

  • Understand Lighting ratio.

  • Understand Light Feathering.

  • Understand Light Falloff.

  • Learn how to set up and create low-key dramatic lighting using one light.

  • Learn how to set up and create soft lighting using one light.

  • Photo Editing & Workflow.

  • Self practice with guidance.

  • Review & Critique session.

Workshop includes theory and practical session.

  • Fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the workshop.

  • Withdrawal or failure to turn up will result in the loss of the full course fee.
